In fact it was only at the age of 55 that things changed.

While sitting in my tiny office back then, in our modest apartment, I could no longer ignore the voice that kept saying, “Leslie, you could be doing so much better. You are not living up to your potential. You are a financial loser.”

I not only felt like a failure - I was an OLD failure – a 55 year old failure.  Yikes!  

Sure, the money I earned helped pay for some great vacations and a few living expenses. But I I wanted to be able to buy a dream apartment with my husband, go on more vacations, enjoy more empty time.

I could have temporarily covered it up with chocolate, or shopping, or watching a show.   Or even with convincing myself success and money were not that important, but unfortunately, (or fortunately depending how you want to look at it), I had a roaring loud lion in side of me screaming so loud that I had to hear it and notice it.

“What are you doing with your life! Time to wake up and change if you want something to change. You know you are going to die one day.”

“There’s no way I am waking up on my next birthday making the same amount of money! There’s no way I am not going to live up to my potential!”

I want money!

At that time in 2011, I was 54, and my business, Back From Bali, an ecommerce women’s bohemian style clothing brand—that sold on Amazon and my website—was doing $50,000 a year in revenue.

By the end of the year it reached $100,000.

The next year it hit $235,170. 


In 2014, my sales revenues climbed to $407,630. 


In 2015 it rose to $738,939.


In 2016 it earned $954,082. 


In 2017 I went over the 1 million mark to $1,202,561.

(That was thrilling!) 


In 2018 it reached $1,626,452.

As of today, I've surpassed multiple 7 figures.
