Women Will Fix This Mess (Again)!

The world we live in today requires a new approach! We need to reconsider how we juggle work, home, and life, and who is better than experienced women to take on that challenge?! Are you still sitting on the sidelines waiting for someone to rescue you and fix the problems? I believe that you – and I – are the ones needed in the world right now. And here’s why:

Are You Stuck in the Princess Tower Syndrome?

I’ve talked about this before in longer blogs but I really wanted to pull it out and give this important concept its own article. Because I’ve seen this limiting behavior in myself and in the women I coach. And I want to help you stop it or avoid ever falling into it. I call it Princess Tower Syndrome

If you’ve ever read a fairy tale or watched a Disney movie, you know exactly what I mean:

The damsel (aka helpless) in distress sits in her tower just waiting for her knight in shining armor to come and rescue her from all her troubles. They instantly fall in love, he fixes everything and whisks her away and he always seems to be super-rich, handsome, and brave! They live happily ever in his huge castle where she never has to want for anything.

Well, we all know two things:

 a) there aren’t a lot of knights waiting to save us

 b) even if there were, why would we want to be held back by waiting for that?

If you are waiting for (or currently relying on) a partner, a father, or a husband to rescue you (or fund your lifestyle), you are missing out my friend! When you have someone else looking out for all your needs, it’s easy to get comfortable. So comfortable that you stop reaching, you don't have to build, you don't have to start that project that you've been really wanting to start. Because you’re kind of comfortable, you don't really have the fire under you to make you want to change things. And the world is missing out on what you have to offer!

The World Needs Strong, Independent Women Like You!

We're all being called right now in our own lives to step up and to lead. You have so many opportunities to lead: in your family, in your friendships, in your business, inside your work. Don’t be held back by the safety of your own “mental tower”.

When you leave that tower, when you stand on your feet, when you become that independent woman that you know “come what may will be able” to take care of yourself and your family. That woman is who we need right now.

There is nothing more empowering than letting that woman shine! And when you step into it, you’ll soon realize that no one needs to “care” for you financially and no one can ever take anything away from you. And you’ll experience what true financial freedom is like – whether you’re buying your own apartment, funding your child’s education, or retiring your husband from his 9 to 5. That level of financial freedom is only possible when you’ve done it for yourself.

Financial Freedom is Safety

And you know what else? Financial freedom is a lot more than being able to afford things (although that is really nice). Having your own independence means you’re safe. You have created your own tower to live by and work by and give by and express yourself through. You no longer have to worry about how things get paid or get done because you are in charge of your future!
